Day 3 - Princetown to Lydford following the old railing which transported granite, passing by Foggintor Quarry, Merrivale and Great Staple Tor to Lydford. Keep an eye out for our journey across Dartmoor Day 4 coming soon!
Tracey Elliot-Reep Dartmoor International photographer, author and motivational speaker makes a six day journey across and around Dartmoor with a friend and her Highland and Dartmoor ponies. This is Day 2 leaving from the old clapper bridge at Dartmeet, crossing the West Dart to Holne Moor, to Hexworthy and then crossing over the River Swincombe, following along some ancient routes to Burrator Reservoir.
Here I am riding Callum my Highland Callum who I rode from the top coast of Scotland to Land's End and around Southern Ireland, while leading Raindrop my pack pony. I bred Shilstone Rocks Raindrop four years ago and she is enjoying coming along- in training for the longer treks!
