PONY WALKS ON DARTMOOR
PONY WALKS ON DARTMOOR
I am a Dartmoor and international photographer, author, adventurer and public speaker. My love of Dartmoor ponies began when I was born on my mother’s well-known Shilstone Rocks Dartmoor pony stud near Widecombe-in-the-Moor. As a young child, riding Dartmoor ponies, I dreamt of a life of cowboys and Indians in the Wild West of America, and several decades later my dream came true when I rode horses from Mexico to Canada. My adventurous travels have also taken me on horseback across Southern Europe, New Zealand, Ireland and Israel.
I have published books about each of my adventures, and also eighteen early learning children's books about Rainbow the Dartmoor pony, and Rainbow and her farmyard friends. and others. Rainbow is one of the Dartmoor ponies I have bred who will join us on our walks.

Tracey’s Dartmoor Pony experience day was simply wonderful. It was such a thrill for my 11 year old niece to see the foals. Tracy’s informative talk about the Dartmoor ponies and their life on the moor was enlightening and our walk with the ponies across the open heathland with it’s stunning scenery and glorious gorse and heather colours was outstanding. A day that will live long in our memories.
Thank you Tracey”
What a really lovely morning out, thank you Tracey, my Daughter Olivia (age 8) really enjoyed seeing the foals before a lovely walk with Rainbow the pony up to a Tor where we sat together to have some refreshments before walking back to the field. This is such a wonderful experience for children of all ages and a much recommended few hours out. We can't wait to do it again :-)
Our walk with Tracey and the ponies as an absolutely magical experience and in one of the most beautiful spots on the moor!
If you're looking for a truly unforgettable experience on Dartmoor, join Tracey on one of her Dartmoor pony walks. Leading her ponies across the moor above Widecombe was the perfect way to relax and appreciate the beautiful scenery. The ponies which have been bred by Tracey, are gentle and calm. I can highly recommend this adventure for anyone seeking a unique experience of Dartmoor’s beauty, whilst in the company of its lovely native ponies. Thank you Tracey for a wonderful and very informative day.
