These are my four Dartmoor pony yearlings arriving to their 11th new temporary home in the first year of their lives! Time time at an old quarry in the Teign Valley. As you can imagine as they are well traveled and always ready for the next fresh grass stop!! Their book is the next on the list after the Israel book!
I am currently working on a book of my most recent adventure traveling on horses through Israel. This photo was taken of us trotting through the northern part of Sea of Galilee, where Jesus did so many miracles, including walking on the water. I felt it an honour to be right there with my horses!
LAD my Cairn Terrier recently out on photographic assignment with me on Dartmoor. Most of the snow drifts he got carried through, but he posed on this one blocking the road to Bonehill with Rippon Tor in the back ground! This is the famous terrier starring in 'LAD THE DOG ' in the children's book series 'Rainbow and Her Farmyard Friends! Please take a look if you have or know children who love animals! https://www.traceyelliotreep.com/collections/books
Snowing here on Dartmoor again, while working on compiling another children's book about my four Dartmoor yearlings (one year old) had a play in the snow today!
Swaling takes place on Dartmoor before the end of March each year. If it stops raining long enough for the land to dry out a little, the farmers who have grazing rights on the moor burn off areas of gorse to make room for new growth for their livestock.
